Welcome to Emily's Fleece
I create hand-made items that celebrate wool, and the rich variety of breeds of sheep, which we have here in the UK. The fleeces come from my own flock of much-loved, Black Lincoln Longwool Sheep. Their fleeces are superbly soft, curly and beautifully coloured – perfect for vegetarian felt-backed rugs and seat pads.
I also work with a wide variety of fleeces which I buy in locally. All bought-in fleeces are individually chosen by me on the farm (or smallholding) where the sheep are kept. I buy fleeces from many different breeds, all of them within a distance of only a few miles of my smallholding in the beautiful Shropshire Hills. No two fleeces are the same, and every piece I make is unique.

I’m always looking for interesting and varied colours in the fleeces I buy. All fleeces are handwashed and dried by me. As I told you, I weave items on a pegloom (rugs, seat pads, cushions, bags and wall-hangings). I also make vegetarian felt-backed rugs and seat pads.

More about me
I have lived in the beautiful county of Shropshire for nearly a quarter of a century. I am fortunate to live in the middle of nowhere, our cottage on the hillside – a few acres, some happy hens, our cats and, of course, my little flock of Black Lincoln Longwool sheep.

Meet the Flock
All of my little flock are rare breed Black Lincoln Longwools. They are much cherished and will spend the whole of their lives on our holding. To learn more about them click the button below.
Check out my blog for regular updates on what I’m up to. Here I will post news about my up and coming craft fairs, events or workshops, including anything going on with my lovely girls.
